Current Exhibitions

The Museum for African Art is one of the premier institutions in the United States devoted to exhibiting traditional and contemporary African art. On September 24, 2007, the Museum broke ground for a new building, designed by Robert A. M. Stern, at Fifth Avenue between 109th and 110th Streets, on Manhattan’s “Museum Mile.” The Museum will reopen in its new building in late 2010.
