I have been at Manhattan
College since 1975. The list of publications at the website testify to the fact
that many undergraduate students at Manhattan College have participated in
these research projects and many have been co-authors on peer-reviewed
publications. I have been the Catherine and Robert Fenton Endowed Chair of
Biology since January 2005. The endowed chair position has allowed our research
team to do research in places like Australia, Ecuador, the southwest United
States. Many other locations are planned for the near future. We have recently
published some very important research on the mechanical stresses of tree
branches and on the structure and function of many mangrove species in Florida
and Australia.
