Order Lycopodiales
Genus Lycopodium
Of the two living genera, Lycopodium is worldwide while Phylloglossum is confined to Australia, New Zealand and Tasmania. Morphologically, Lycopodium is a diverse genus and some taxonomists hold that the genus should be divided into four genera or at least into Sections. To illustrate the diversity, the following is a description of six genera.
