NYSED Expected Outcomes:
Upon completion of requirements, participants in the Graduate Program in School Building Leadership students will:

• Commit to their preparation as school building leader professionals.
• Understand that dedication to courses leading to the master degree in one of three programs will bring them to a greater understanding of their chosen profession.
• Embrace the overall philosophy of the School Building Leadership Program.
• Be confident and competent as a school administrator, as a supervisor and as a professional educator.
• Be prepared and competent in their abilities and prepared to assume the role of assistant principal, department chairperson, coordinator, unit head, and the like.
• Be collaborative, principle centered, and life long learners.
• Give evidence of having acquired the knowledge, skills, and dispositions for leading self, for leading others, and for leading with others to transform the school into an effective learning environment.
• Give evidence of having acquired these competencies and met these standards through periodic performance reviews, completion of course and program requirements, for maintaining a B or better average in course work, passing the New York State Assessment of Leadership Competencies.
