Travel with Manhattan College

The Alumni Relations office has partnered with several travel agencies including GoNext, World Cultural Tours and AHI Travel. Each company has created exciting land and sea programs for Manhattan alumni, family and friends to join other Jaspers around the world. Several itineraries are available in 2014.

 

GoNext's spring and summer offerings include a Mediterranean Grandeur cruise, European Tapestry cruise (early booking extended through Feb. 28), and an Alaskan Frontiers and Glaciers cruise.

 

World Cultural Tours' featured program is a spectacular 9-day Tour to Ireland in October.

 

AHI Travel has put together a variety of programs including a cruise of the Mosel, Rhine and Main Rivers, a cruise of the Panama Canal, and a tour of Italy's Lake District. Save up to $250 by taking advantage of the exclusive alumni traveler presale. Learn more.

Manhattan vs. Monmouth

Wednesday, Feb. 19

Join us as the men's basketball team faces the Monmouth Hawks at the Monmouth University MAC (400 Cedar Ave., West Long Branch, NJ). The College has secured two premium suites and our pregame reception will be held at 5 p.m. The cost of the event is $30 and includes access to the suite for the pregame reception and game, as well as finger food and refreshments (beer, wine, soda). Manhattan vs. Siena

Friday, Feb. 21

Join us for our annual gathering as the men's team faces the Siena Saints at the Albany Times Union Center (51 South Pearl St., Albany, NY). The reception will be held at 5 p.m. at Wolf's 1-11, adjacent to the arena. The reception includes a buffet dinner and two drink tickets. Game tickets are optional. Tip-off is at 7 p.m. REGISTER»

 

MAAC Basketball Championships

This year's MAAC Championship tournament will be held at the MassMutual Center (1277 Main St., Springfield, MA). Depending on tournament seedings, an alumni reception will be planned for the weekend at JT's Sports Pub (1373 Main St., Springfield, MA). Details are forthcoming. California Academy of Sciences Nightlife VIP Tour

Join other Bay-area Jasper alumni for a special evening at the California Academy of Sciences (55 Music Concourse Dr., San Francisco). The schedule of events begins promptly at 6 p.m. and is $55 per person which includes a welcome cocktail reception with open bar and hors d'oeuvres, a behind-the-scenes tour, and a planetarium show. Jaspers Baseball at Florida Gulf Coast University

Saturday, March 8

Watch Manhattan Baseball take on Florida Gulf Coast University (10501 FGCU Lake Pkwy East, Fort Myers, FL) with the first game of the double-header scheduled for 1 p.m. A block of tickets has been purchased for Manhattan College fans and will be available at the stadium's main gate. Tickets are required to attend the games. Join us after for a casual post-game reception with the coaches at Connors Steak & Seafood (10076 Gulf Center Dr., Fort Myers, FL).

 

Southwest Florida Luncheon

Sunday, March 9

At 11:30 a.m., a Mass in memory of Jasper alumnus Michael Bette '59 will be held at St. Leo the Great Catholic Church (28290 Beaumont Rd., Bonita Springs, FL).

 

Guests who do not attend the Mass are welcome to join other Jaspers at 11 a.m. for a pre-luncheon gathering at the home of Jim Connors '57 (3440 Lakemont Dr., Bonita Springs, FL). The brunch buffet will follow from 1-3 p.m. at Pelican's Nest Golf Club (4450 Pelicans Nest Dr., Bonita Springs, FL) and is $25 per person. REGISTER»

Naples St. Patrick's Day Parade

Come march with other Jaspers in the 36th Naples St. Patrick's Day Parade led by the award-winning Manhattan College Pipes & Drums and the College's 19th President, Brennan O'Donnell. The group will meet at St. Ann's Parish (900 Broad Ave. S, Naples, FL) at 10:30 a.m. and step-off at 11 a.m. A post-parade reception will be held at the Bellasera Hotel (221 Ninth St. South, Naples, FL) at 1 p.m.

NYC St. Patrick's Day Breakfast and Parade

Jasper alumni, family and friends are invited to join the College for a special pre-parade breakfast reception at Club Quarters (40 West 45th St., New York, NY) at 10 a.m. The breakfast is $35 for alumni and friends and $20 for students. REGISTER»

 

Following breakfast, alumni, family and friends are invited to march in the world's largest St. Patrick's Day parade, led by the Manhattan College Pipes & Drums and the Gaelic Society.

Assembly will begin at 11:15 a.m. on W. 45th Street, between 5th and 6th Avenues, stepping off around 12 p.m. Marchers are required to purchase a sash, available at the line of march and at the breakfast, for $5 from the Gaelic Society.

Peace Corps Presentation

The Manhattan College Counseling Center & Health Services will be hosting a Peace Corps panel presentation on Wednesday, Feb. 26. The presentation will take place in the Alumni Room of the O'Malley Library at 7 p.m. Several Peace Corps volunteers will discuss how their overseas experiences have impacted their lives both personally and professionally.
