Manhattan College to Honor STV Group President and CEO

Manhattan College will honor Milo Riverso '81, Ph.D., P.E., CMM, chief executive officer (CEO) and president of STV Group, Inc., one of the nation's largest engineering and architectural planning, design and construction management firms, with the 2014 De La Salle medal at the College's annual fundraising dinner on Thursday, Jan. 23, 2014. The event will be held at the Waldorf Astoria in New York City. Learn more.

Travel with Manhattan College

The Alumni Relations office has partnered with several travel agencies including GoNext, World Cultural Tours and AHI Travel. Each company has created exciting land and sea programs for Manhattan alumni, family and friends to join other Jaspers around the world. Several itineraries are available in 2014.

 

GoNext's spring and summer offerings include a Mediterranean Grandeur cruise, European Tapestry cruise (early booking extended through Feb. 28), and an Alaskan Frontiers and Glaciers cruise (early booking discount extended through Jan. 17).

 

World Cultural Tours' featured program is a spectacular 9-day Tour to Ireland in October.

Alumni Men's Basketball Game

Sunday, Jan. 12

Prior to the men's basketball game against Marist at 2 p.m., more than 30 Manhattan basketball alumni will take part in the alumni game, including Jasper greats from the last four decades. Former basketball players interested in participating may contact Russ Williams '92 at russwilliamsgid@gmail.com.

 

A reception, sponsored by the Jasper Athletic Club, will be held following the alumni game, at 12:30 p.m. To RSVP for the reception, please email Noah LeFevre at noah.lefevre@manhattan.edu.

 

During halftime of the Marist game, Manhattan will hold a special recognition ceremony honoring the late Jasper great, Junius Kellogg '53. Read more.

Join us for our annual gathering as the men's team faces the Siena Saints at the Albany Times Union Center (51 South Pearl St., Albany, NY). Jasper alumni, family and friends living in or visiting Georgia are invited to join the College at the annual Atlanta-area luncheon at Cherokee Country Club (665 Hightower Trail, Atlanta, GA). The event, hosted by Bob Fink '57, will begin at 12 p.m. and is $30 per person. Guests will be joined by Tom McCarthy '06, director of alumni relations, and Br. Saturday, March 8: Manhattan Jaspers vs. Florida Gulf Coast University baseball game (doubleheader).

Sunday, March 9: Mass followed by brunch at Pelican's Nest Golf Club, Bonita Springs.

Monday, March 10: Winter Park dinner reception, potentially followed by a viewing of the MAAC men's basketball championship game.

Tuesday, March 11: The Villages luncheon.

Wednesday, March 12: West Palm Beach golf outing and dinner reception at Ironhorse Country Club.

Friday, March 14: Sarasota luncheon and Bonita Springs dinner reception.

Saturday, March 15: Naples St. Patrick's Day parade.
