Jasper Open Golf Tournament
Please join Manhattan College on Monday, May 7 for the 24th annual Jasper Open, which will be held at Sleepy Hollow Country Club in Scarborough, N.Y. Explore the Beauty of Southern Italy with Manhattan College
Alumni are invited to travel to Italy with other Jaspers from Oct. 26 to Nov. 3, 2012. The cities of Sorrento and Rome will serve as a home base, while you explore the rich Italian history and culture with visits to the Blue Grotto in Capri, the National Archeological Museum in Naples, Pompeii, Positano and the Colosseum. Price includes roundtrip airfare, seven nights’ accommodations, professional tour guide, entrance fees and sightseeing, luxury motor coach, porterage service and more.

San Francisco Bay Area After-Work Mixers
Join fellow Jaspers for a series of events in the San Francisco Bay area. Each event will be held from 5-8 p.m., and food and beverages may be purchased at the restaurant and happy hour specials will be available.

Three Senators Event
The Latino Alumni Club is hosting a Three Senators event on campus on Thursday, April 19 with Sen. José M. Serrano ’95 (D-Manhattan/Bronx) as the guest speaker, accompanied by Sen. Gustavo Rivera (D,WF-Bronx) and Sen. Adriano Espaillat (D - Manhattan/Bronx).

The event will include a reception from 6:30-8 p.m. in the first floor lobby of Hayden Hall, followed by a panel discussion in the newly renovated Hayden Hall Auditorium (Room 100).

The cost is $20 per person for alumni and $25 for guests.


Jaspers of Arizona
Alumni and friends living in the Arizona area are invited to attend a dinner reception hosted by Bob Drake ’62 on Thursday, April 19 starting at 5 p.m. with a cocktail reception at Heritage Highlands at Dove Mountain (4949 W. Heritage Club Blvd., Marana, Ariz.).


Tom McCarthy ’06, director of alumni relations, will join guests, and the event includes refreshments and choice of entrée for $25 per person. For more information, call Bob Drake at (520) 572-4866. Advanced registration is required.


D.C. Alumni and Admissions Reception
Alumni are invited to network with fellow alumni and share their Manhattan experience with future Jaspers from the Washington, D.C., area on Thursday, April 26 from 6:30-8:30 p.m. at St. John’s College High School (2607 Military Road NW, Chevy Chase, D.C.). The reception, which is being hosted by Tom Mauriello, vice president of college advancement, and William Bisset, vice president of enrollment management, is free but advanced registration is required. Bergen County Alumni Reception
Alumni in the Bergen County, N.J., area are invited to attend a dinner reception with President Brennan O’Donnell, hosted by George Skau ’59 at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday, April 26, at the Ramsey Country Club (105 Lakeside Drive, Ramsey, N.J., 07446). Dinner includes a salad, entrée, dessert, two complimentary cocktails and other refreshments and the cost is $40 per person. Advanced registration is required.


Financial Services Alumni Reception
The Financial Services Advisory Committee (FSAC) will be holding their 10th annual spring reception on Thursday, May 3, from 6-9 p.m. at the Harvard Club of New York (35 W. 44th Street, New York, NY). The cocktail reception and networking event will feature a panel discussion on the state of the economy. Featured panelists include: Robert J. Chersi, chief financial officer at Fidelity Investments; Charles Geisst, Ph.D., professor of finance and economics at Manhattan College; Peter M. Musumeci Jr. '72, consultant at Metro Bank, Harrisburg, Pa., and Metro Bank PLC, London; and Kenneth A. Rathgeber '70, moderator and retired executive vice president and CCO at Fidelity Investments and vice chair of Manhattan's board of trustees.


The event is $40 per person ($25 for graduates of 2002-2011) and includes cocktails and hors d’oeuvres.


Athletic Hall of Fame Nominations
Nominations for the 2012 class of inductees into the Manhattan College Athletic Hall of Fame are due by Wednesday, June 6. Each year, we seek to induct a broad representation of qualified candidates.


We recommend detailed attention when collecting and presenting biographical information to achieve the desired results in this competitive process. For more information on submitting an application and on the Athletic Hall of Fame, visit the College’s website.

The 2012 induction ceremony will be held on Saturday, Nov. 10.
