The Digital Image Database is maintained by student assistants in the Fine Arts Department at Manhattan College . It contains gallery images from our vast 35mm slide collection housed in the departmental office located on the second floor of Hayden Hall. It is our mission to provide students, faculty, and the public access to these digital images as a way to engage scholarly interest in our department and faculty as well as increase general competency in great works of art. In order to view and enjoy this database, please click on any of the four folders: Architecture, Painting, Photography, and Sculpture. Once there, you will find subfolders divided by four eras: 0-3 rd Century, 4 th -14 th Century, 15 th -19 th Century, and 20 th Century. After selecting a certain era, you will find a series of thumbnail JPEG images that detail the variety of materials contained in our collection. If you click on any thumbnail, a full-size image appears with general information, which details the Medium, the Century, the Country, the City, the Artist's Name (if known), the Title of the Piece, and the Year Produced (if applicable). We hope you enjoy the collection. For more information on the department, please see our website at http://www.manhattan.edu/academics/arts/fine/. Thank you.
